I think I wrote this little nothing when I was stargazing one night, a while back. I've been recently reading up on SPaceX and Elon Musk and the little boy in this funny little story makes me think of things that we think are impossible. And yet, these dreams not so impossible after all. Enjoy :)

Gregory stared at the night sky, wishing on a star.
He had hoped to one day travel there – beyond the moon and
further.
But someone at one time had told him it simply couldn’t be
done.
And so, he didn’t.
He dreamed instead.
He dreamed of the spirals of the milky way
And the orbit of Saturn
He dreamed about the meteor showers that lit the sky with fire
And the rocky surface of Pluto.
One day, an old woman noticed Gregory staring at the clouds
in the sky
“Boy, why do you look instead of going?”she asked, tapping
her cane on the pavement
“I can’t”. Gregory said simply
“Just because someone said you can’t doesn’t mean it’s
true.” The little woman said, a smile on her face.
“But how?” Gregory asked, still looking to the clouds.
“It can’t be done in a day. Dreams take time to become
real.” She said, pointing at the sky.
“The universe can wait. It will wait until you are ready.”
She poked Gregory’s shoulder, and grinned. “You have to practice before you go,
boy.”
And so, Gregory did.
